This will allow Sanitarium to use the words "Official Breakfast of the Cricket World Champions" on thier products. Weet-Bix is also involved in Super Challenge 2000, the coming one-day international series between Australia and South Africa at Colonial Stadium, Melbourne as a sales promotion partner.

West Indies beat Scotland - But only Just!!

14th August 2000

West Indies only just scraped by, beating Scotland today in a One Day Internation at Old Trafford.
In a spirited performance with bat and ball, they lost defiantly by 21 runs.
The tourists, who left out a number of players including Brian Lara, Courtney Walsh and Curtly Ambrose, had batted for half an hour, amassing 35 without loss, before rain intervened.
When play resumed almost two hours later, with the game reduced to 43 overs a side, the Scots' seam bowlers frequently found their way past the outside edge of West Indian bats.
Final Score: WI 204 defeated Scotland 183
